Our Toddler Room 24-36 months

The caterpillar room is for children aged approximately 24 – 36 months and provides plenty of room for young children to explore and socialise together whilst learning through their play. As the children in the baby room progress, children begin to show an increasing independence and obvious pleasure in moving, communicating and learning through play. The toddler room children have a slightly more structured routine to their day whilst learning through a wide range of fun activities and experiences planned for their continued learning and development by their key worker. The room is divided into different areas which include an arts and craft table, a book and cosy corner, a role play area and a construction and small world table. Throughout the day there are various adult led/supported activities for the children such as music and movement, playdough, ICT, mark-making, cornflour play and many more.

We also have a separate sleep room for those children that need a rest.

The children in the toddler room can explore and learn throughout their day at their own pace. They have regular access into the garden throughout the day which will provide them with an outdoor extension to their indoor activities.

At this age, children will be experiencing the change from nappies to potties and toilets. Our staff are well trained, motivated and committed to working alongside parents/carers during this transition.

Some families may be entitled to two year funding.
